This simple and delicious Canadian-inspired, pumpkin spice cacao recipe is a total plot twist that is going to make your taste buds happy!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1-1/4 cups almond milk
- 20g pre-shaved cacao paste
- 1-2 tablespoons pumpkin puree (depending on how rich you like it)
- 1-2 tablespoons monkfruit (depending on how sweet you like it)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
- pinch ground cloves
- pinch of sea salt
MEHTOD:
1. To a pot over the stove, add the almond milk, spices and cacao paste and slowly stir over low heat until the cacao has melted into the liquid.
2. Add the pumpkin puree (this can be homemade easily by boiling and mashing some butternut pumpkin), monk fruit (or sweetener of choice) and sea salt and continue stirring until everything is combined.
3. Using a handheld blender or pouring the mixture into a separate blender, blend for 10s or until the texture is creamy and smooth.
4. Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy!
