This recipe is gluten free, dairy free and packed with wholefoods! An easy, delicious and timeless dessert.
SALTED CARAMEL BARS (gluten & dairy free)
BASE:
- 1.5 cups almond meal
- 3 tbsp coconut flour
- 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
- 1 tsp honey
MIDDLE:
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- ¼ cup tahini
- 2-3 tsp honey
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
TOP:
- 5 scoops of @cacao_collective cacao paste
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
METHOD:
- Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl until a sticky, crumbly texture forms. Pour into lined loaf tin and flatten out evenly. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes on 180*C.
- Melt middle ingredients together in a saucepan over low heat until well combined.
- Pour over the base layer and spread out evenly. Pop in the freezer to set for 1-2 hours. The peanut butter layer should be hard when touched.
- Melt your chocolate & coconut oil together. Pour over the middle layer and pop back in the freezer for 1 hour.
- Cut into bars and devour!
Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer!
